Entry requirements
  • Cambridge CAE Advanced : A - Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or First Certificate (FCE) with grade A
  • IELTS : 6.5 - Test results with a minimum score of 6.5 points
  • TOEFL : 560 - Test results of at least 560 (paper-based) or 83 (internet-based test)
  • Other : Specific subject levels (Danish upper secondary school):
    • Mathematics B
    • History B or History of Ideas B or Contemporary History B or Social Studies B or International Economics B
    • English at “B” level

    You must meet the admission requirements and submit documentation no later than 5 July in the year of application.

    The subject-specific level requirements must be passed in accordance with the degree programme’s regulations and marking assessment. This means grade 6 (Danish 13-point grading scale)/grade 2 (Danish 7-point grading scale) or higher. If several marks are included in the subject, the requirements are only met if the average grade is 6 (13-point grading scale)/grade 2 (7-point grading scale). You cannot meet the requirements by rounding up grades. This also counts if the subject is part of a fully qualifying examination.

    Applicants with a foreign entrance examination
    Applicants with a foreign entrance examination should read the general admission procedures for foreign applicants applying for Bachelor’s degree programmes taught in English, including how you find out whether or not you meet the above examination and subject level requirements.

    International Applicant

    The following entrance examinations qualify for assessment in quota 1 and quota 2:
    • Danish/French Baccalaureat (DFB)
    • European Baccalaureat (EB)
    • International Baccalaureat (IB)
    • Option International du Baccalaureat (OIB)
    • GCE A-levels
    • The majority of European generel secondary school exams
    • Nordic exams

    The following exams qualify for assessment in quota 2:
    • American High School diploma in combination with at least one year studies at university/college level or 3 AP exams
    • The majority of Non-European secondary school degrees in combination with at least one year studies at university/college level
    • The majority of European technical/business related secondary school degrees

    English Lanuage Requirements

    TOEFL:
    English B – Test results of at least 560 (paper-based) or 83 (internet-based test)
    English A – Test result of at least 600 (paper-based) or 100 (internet-based test)
    Aarhus University does not accept the TOEFL ITP test unless it is taken at Aarhus University.

    Cambridge/Oxford:
