Entry requirements
  • Cambridge CAE Advanced : A - Cambridge English First:Grade A with grades of exceptional in components.
  • IELTS : 6.5 - 6.5 (with no component score lower than 6.0).
  • PTE Academic : 67 - 67 with minimum of 60 in each component.
  • TOEFL : 91 - TOEFL iBT:91 with minimum subscores of 21.
  • Other : A recognised university undergraduate honours degree, with at least a Lower Second Class classification, or a professional qualification deemed to be equivalent.

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: UCLan entry requirements will vary depending on the individual course. This information will be detailed in the University prospectus, on course pages and in standard UCAS publications.

    Some courses will require you to achieve specific grades and in some cases in certain subjects. Others may require you to reach a specified number of UCAS Tariff points. Many courses require the equivalent of three A2 level qualifications.

    All applications should demonstrate satisfactory performance at GCSE level. UCL normally ask for at least five passes at grade C or above. You must pass GCSE Maths and English for all of courses.

    UCLan accepts all Advanced Level subjects for admission purposes. This includes linear and modular A Levels and General Studies.

    Advanced Subsidiary Qualifications:
    AS Level qualifications achieved at the end of Year 12 are a useful indicator of potential. However, School will only offer a student a place based on their A Level achievement at the end of Year 13. UCLan does not make unconditional offers after one year of post-16 study.

    English Language Requirements:
    TOEFL iBT: 91 with minimum subscores of 21.
