Entry requirements
  • Other : Moscow University Touro admits students without regard to ethnicity, national origin, race, religion, gender, political affiliation or physical disability. Admittance is based on:
    The applicant´s academic performance in secondary school, university, institute or college.
    The ability of the applicant to pass a university entrance examination designed to measure his/her analytical, mathematical, English language and problem solving skills.
    The recommendation of the Enrollment Selection Committee.
    Each applicant should complete an Application Form and submit it along with his/her education records, a medical certificate and 2 current photographs to the Office of Registration. The decision of the Committee of Admissions is based on an assessment of the candidate's ability to benefit from MUT academic program, and of the candidate's potencial in making a contribution to academic and student life at the University. An application is considered complete and the candidate is considered for admission when the Office of Admission receives the following information:
    Application for admission.
    Transcripts of all high school and college work. For the Russian program you are required to have a Russian Standart Secondary School Attestat.
    Interview.
    Because all instruction, course work, assignments and examinations for the American diploma at MUT are in English, all students are required to pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 500 and pass an English Placement Test before entering degree programs.
    Math Placement test.
    Upon admission, the applicant and the University ratify a contract which specifies the terms of acceptance, tuition rates, payment schedule and the obligations of each signatory. New students should complete course registration and other enrollment requirements with the Office of Registration for the academic year. Continued enrollment at Moscow University Touro is dependent on timely payment of fees.

    Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT):

    Many American Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programs require applicants to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) as part of the application process. You can significantly improve your GMAT score by extensive and wise preparation before the test. Moscow University Touro's GMAT preparation course is regorous and thorough. It will ensure that you get your highest score possible.
    The course puts great emphasis on strategies for answerring GMAT questions quickly and accurately. For example, you'll learn how to "categorize" the types of questions and the types of answer choices. You'll also learn how to avoid the "wrong" answer choices. You'll learn the structure of the GMAT and the structure of questions. Our course removes the mystery.
    The course is taught by two instructors. Preparation for the Verbal and Essay Section is given by an American lawyer. Preparation for the Mathematics Section in given by a Ph.D. in Mathematics. The course will show you how to answer the multyple choice questions and how to respond to the Essay Section, even if your knowledge of English or mathematics is not strong. Our GMAT Preparation course is not a courseof English or mathematics. The course focuses specifically on how to answer the questions and increase your GMAT score.
    There is ample opportunity during the course to discuss the MBA application process and how to obtain financial aid from American schools.

    Classes are small (a maximum of six students) and are given on Saturdays or in the evenings at our centrally located campus. Classes start at various times throughout the year. The course involves 59 academic hours divided into 33 academic hours for the Verbal and Essay Section and 26 academic hours for the Mathematics Section.

    TOEFL :

    Test of English as a Foreign Language is an international examination in English as a foreign language. TOEFL has been prepared by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) of Princeton University, New Jersey, USA.
    The main goal of TOEFL is to evaluate the level of preparation of those for whom English is not a mother tongue. The submission of TOEFL results is a must for entering more than 2400 colleges and universities of the USA, Canada and also many countries in Europe. TOEFL results are typically required both for undergraduate and post-graduates applications. Moreover, TOEFL results are frequently required to participate in many certificate programs at educational institutions where English is the language of instruction. Certain scientific and professional certification programs also require applicants to take TOEFL.
    Moscow University Touro offers a course to prepare students to take TOEFL (iTP Institutional Testing Program) and TOEFL (iBT internet-Based Test). Courses begin at various times during the year. The courses consist of small groups and studying in classes. Classes are held on Saturdays or in the evening on working days. Instructors are well-experienced in TOEFL and in helping students to obtain good TOEFL results.
    Both a Russian teacher and a native speaker are assigned to teach you.
    The TOEFL (iTP) preparation course covers development of audio, reading and essay writing skills. The course emphasizes a natural understanding of the main principles of English grammar and style. Courses are conducted using materials (booklets, tapes and CDs) provided by Educational Testing Services. These materials are updated on an annual basis. All materials during the course are supplied by the University.
    The duration of the course is 50/60 academic hours. Moscow University Touro’s TOEFL preparation course aims to ensure you receive the TOEFL result you require.

    TOEFL IBT:

    Moscow University Touro is ETS authorised TOEFL iBT center offers a 60-hours preparation course.
    Course Objective:
    To become more familiar with how the TOEFL iBT is structured and what types of questions are on the test, The TOEFL iBT measures how well you read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together in the university classroom. For example, you might read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned.
    If you are planning to study abroad, the TOEFL test is the one test that can take you anywhere.
    In fact, more institutions accept TOEFL test scores than any other test scores in the world — more than 7,000 colleges, universities and licensing agencies in more than 130 countries, to be exact, including the top colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and New Zealand.
