You do not need to have an undergraduate degree in the field in which you are applying for a Master’s degree.

    How we evaluate your application

Each application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee and, in many cases, by the Department Head. Primary consideration is given to:

    Your academic performance
The rigor and content of your bachelor’s degree coursework

    Your work experience, where relevant
Your motivation and commitment, as shown in your application essay and discussed in your letters of recommendation.
We strongly recommend that you communicate with the head of the program to which you are applying either by email or phone. Ask the admissions team to help schedule a meeting. An admissions interview is obligatory if you are applying for the MA in Counseling.

The purpose of the conversation is to:

Allow you to ask all of your questions and better understand the program and commitment needed to succeed
Help you assess your readiness to undertake a graduate program at Webster
